Few aromas are more inviting than the smell of fresh baked bread. But let’s face it, with all the kneading and rising, and punching down and rising - who has the time to make yeast bread? Fortunately, bread machines have provided a quick and easy solution to that problem. It only takes five minutes to prepare the basic recipe, and the bread machine will take over and do all the heavy lifting. You might never buy another loaf of store-bought bread again!


2 ½ cups Whole Wheat Flour

½ cup Bread Flour

1/3 teaspoon Salt

1 ½ teaspoons Active Dry Yeast

1 ¼ cups Water

2 tablespoons Honey

2 tablespoons Molasses

2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Add all liquid ingredients to the bread machine baking pan, then add in the wheat flour, the bread flour and the salt. Make a well in the dry ingredients with your finger and pour in the yeast. Don’t allow the yeast to come into contact with the liquid. Place the baking pan into the bread machine. Select the ‘Wheat’ setting, and follow your bread machine manufacturer’s recommendation for additional settings, such as crust color. Press ‘start’ and let your bread machine work its magic!
